Willmar Weekend (Part 2)

Teen Activity Challenge: Don't Waste Your Life!

Meet Vickie:
-Born in Texas
-Became rich and famous quickly
-Landed many TV & Modeling Contracts
-Was the "Life of the Party"

Some have said that she lived a full life.

Meet George:
-Born in New Jersey
-Never became rich or famous
-Quit his job at the age of 33 to work another 66 years at very little pay
-Lived a secluded and simple life.

Some would say that he wasted his life.

In order to make a better decision about who had a full life and who wasted their lives, you need a few more details.

Vickie went on to change her name to Anna Nicole Smith.

Her life was dependent on the next high (drugs, money, & sex).
Her life was degrading to her body.
Her life was full of depressed mood swings and weight changes.
Her life demanded glory to herself.
Died three days ago at the age of 39.

GMSA Missionary George Black (66 years serving in Chile)

His life was dependent on God.
His life was about disciplining his body (for righteousness).
His life is determined to be joyful.
His life deflects glory to God.
Oh, by the way, he is still not retired. He currenly lives in Copiapo, Chile and is still active in three church plants, evangelism, and discipleship.

So you make the call. Who wasted their life? Anna Nicole or George Black?
My vote is that Anna Nicole wasted her life trying to find it, and George Black found his life when he decided to invest it in eternal things.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasure upon earth...But lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven...For where your treasure is there will your heart be also." Matthew 6:19-21
