Pastor Appreciation Sunday

Each year our church honors Pastor Marcelo and his wife, Teresa, by having a Pastor Appreciation Sunday. After the morning service, a time of fellowship and eating was enjoyed by all.

Several weeks before this Sunday, the members of the church pooled some money to buy several gifts for both pastor Marcelo and Teresa.

Fernando, one of the church leaders, lead in a time of prayer for pastor as well as a time of publicly thanking him (& Teresa) for their labor in the ministry.

This year, a representative from each age group of the church was selected to present a gift to pastor and Teresa. Above: Frida (one of the older members of the church), giving pastor a gift and a huge hug.

Belén and Jordan were selected to represent the children of the church in presenting a gift to Teresa.

Puppet Workshop

On Kaylee's 5th birthday (July 12th), I took her downtown to the Bible Institute to attend and participate in a workshop on ministering with puppets. I wanted to be there (as a BI prof) to support the BI and take pictures and video of the workshop.

Julie Method (remember her?), a Spanish and drama Christian school teacher from Florida, was willing to teach the workshop to the BI students as well as anyone who wanted to attend from the area Temuco churches. The workshop was well attended and overall it was a blessing to those who came. Everyone left with more knowledge and experience in using puppets in gospel ministry.

Kaylee had a BLAST!

We had a great little "father/daughter" date at the workshop.

Below is a short video compilation of what happened at the puppet workshop.
