(photo taken in Castro, Chile - located on the southern island of Chiloe)

Tomatoes (tomates),
Carrots (zanahorias), & Beets (remolachas)

Cherries (cerezas) $1.50/bag

Crate of Tomatoes $9.00

Avocados (palta)
The sign says $600 pesos/kilo or about $.50/pound.
Kristi bought an avocado yesterday at Cub Foods for $.88/each (and that was on sale)
For those of you who know Chile...this price was in Antofagasta (the most expensive city in the whole country to live in). Food prices are cheaper in the south.
