Summer Birthdays

Jordan and Kaylee's birthdays are always one week apart. This year they fell on a Saturday. Last Saturday, our family left Marinette, WI (part 1 , 2 , & 3) and drove home across Wisconsin. Above: Right before we left, the Choi boys gave Jordan a gift of sidewalk chalk.

Halfway across WI, we stopped briefly at Camp Forest Springs to get a personal tour from Kerra (a friend from our time at language school). She is working at the camp this summer while her parents (my language school classmates) are serving in south Mexico. It was great to see what the Lord is doing through this ministry located on a beautiful lake in the backwoods of WI.

We arrived back home in MN around suppertime.
We had a small birthday party
for Jordan with Grandpa and Grandma Flinck.

Both boys received "Texas sized" water guns
to keep each other cool in the coming days
of 100 degree temps. at language school

Kristi and Jordan were able to have a breakfast birthday date
together at McDonald's a few days later.

Since we were going to be traveling on Kaylee's birthday,
we had a small family party for her on Friday night.

Kaylee blowing / spitting out her three candles.

------------------------------------------

We are thankful for another year of life for our children.
They are gifts from God!

Please continue to pray for us as we desire to train them up
in the things of the Lord and to teach them that serving the Lord
has eternal rewards and is satisfying to the soul.

I just wanted you to know that we are so excited for you all. When I heard the good news about your support I will have to be honest and say I had a little twinge of saddness. I guess the reality of you leaving does that. I am thrilled so don't get me wrong but you will be missed!!
Happy Birthday to Jordan and Kaylee! I loved all the pictures and updates. I hope to call my Verizon Buddy this week.
