Marinette, WI - Developing Relationships

Continuing on about our time in Marinette, WI...

Twin City Baptist Church recently partnered with us.

One of the first evenings were spent at the assistant pastor's home with a cookout. The senior pastor and several deacon's families came over as well to spend some time getting to know us. It was a wonderful time of developing our relationships with this new supporting church.

Pastor Sam grilled some Korean food and kabobs!

The group of kids at the cookout. We enjoy watching our children developing relationships and learning what a supporting church is and means. Hopefully some of these friends will stay in touch even though there will be many miles between them.

One morning we had another chance to develop relationships
by having a special brunch with the assistant's family
and another young family from the church.

On Tuesday night, we were invited to another church family's house
for an evening cookout. Several other families from the church came as well.
It was beautiful evening to chat outside, play boccie ball,
sing hymns, and (yes) develop more relationships.

Kristi and I had a special chance to develop our relationship
by going to Culver's for ice cream, thanks to Sam & Sarah
kicking us out of the house and watching our three kids for 2 hours.
Thanks again Sam & Sarah!

The week was exhausting but it was definitely worth the time and effort to connect with our new partnering church and develop deeper relationships with the members. We will be able to pray in a better way for this church because our our week there (and vice versa).

(look at all those wonderful friends and tools on the bookshelf!)

Come back again for the last post on our time in Marinette
and another post on some very encouraging news!
