So far, we have gone over all the Major chords. In the coming weeks, we will move on to the minor chords. My finger tips are NOT looking forward to the abuse! What's confusing to me is that the names of all the chords are different here in Chile (Do, Re, Mi, etc.). This will take some time to get used to, since C, D, E, F, G, A, B are so ingrained in my head.
The goal is to learn to play in order to play in the ministry plus teach my children how to play in the future. I have appreciated the opportunity to learn from Rodrigo.
That's enough typing for now...my fingers are sore!

Hang in there David! I shared with the worship leader at our church that I was trying to teach myself guitar chords. A few months later she handed me the music that we would be playing at church in two weeks and asked me to join them! That's called getting thrown in the deep end, but I praise God for Rosanne Pruitt forcing me to learn guitar. It has been a blessing to serve God in ministry with it over the years.
Learn well. I still consider myself a hack chord strummer and would have loved to have someone teach me some mastery.
OOO! What fun! Keep it up, you'll be so glad you did.
I'm trying to learn more too...I love the guitar but unfortunatly that doesn't mean I play well. :)
