Golden, CO

On Saturday (Oct. 27), we drove from South Dakota to the NW part of Denver, CO to get settled in before our meetings on Sunday.

We were able to stay in a nearby Prophet's Chamber at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge, CO. The kids had their own room and loved the bunkbeds. We were very thankful for the three nights we stayed there. The Prophet's Chamber had many things that made our stay restful and comforting.

Our Sunday meeting was at Calvary Baptist in Golden, CO. After the evening service, we ate pizza and watched the final game of the World Series with the pastor and family.

Monday was a down day for us and we stayed in the Denver area. Kristi did some homeschooling with the kids in the morning while two area pastors took me out for some golf. Later on in the afternoon, we took the kids to the Colorado Mills Mall for some window shopping and a ride on the merry-go-round.

Tuesday morning we left Denver to climb over the Rockies in our van. Come back to find out what happened.

I love it when God provides a restful place like this just when your family needs it ...
