Going Through the Rockies

The kids have been waiting to see the mountains for several weeks. Our morning trip over the Rockies was beautiful and lazy (no time pressure). Whenever we drive through a tunnel while on the road, Jordan and Ben try to hold their breath. Let's just say that they were no match for the long Eisenhower Tunnel.

We stopped at the Copper Mtn. Rest Stop to let the kids get out and play in the snow and move their legs. This particular rest stop will probably turn into a "family tradition" stop when we come back on furlough.

Tip for travelers: Don't ever eat in Vail, CO - it is very expensive.

Vail, CO

We made it to our destination (Eagle, CO) in the early afternoon and we were able to unpack and lay the kids down for rest time before leaving for our Tues. night meeting in Burns, CO.

Expensive but beautiful! Nice pictures! (:

(And yes, I do read your blog at least once a week! Except for when my husband erased all my bookmarks ... but that's a story for another day!)
