Our family (and short termer, Jenna) recently took a 5 day trip to Santiago. Here are a few shots from our trip...

The trip to Santiago from Temuco should take around 8 hours by car, but we made some extra stops along the way to stay sane.

One of the many reasons we went on this trip was to show Jenna more of Chile, and give her the opportunity to meet our GMSA co-workers in Santiago.

We stopped at the Laja River Waterfalls and enjoyed the perfect sunny afternoon walking the trails along the waterfalls.

Once in Santiago, we met with our GMSA co-workers for lunch and a prayer meeting. It was good to personally hear of what God is doing in each and every one of their ministries in (and around) Santiago.

Kristi was able to visit a childhood Chilean friend, Carola. They have kept in touch through the years, but now we can personally visit her and her family when we are in Santiago.

We spent an evening over at
John and Laura Neimeyer's house. They are good friends from our RGBI language school days. It was so good to see them again and encourage them, since they just arrived to the field a couple of months ago.
James and Coletta Morsey (BMM missionaries) also stopped by to visit with us. We cherish and need these times of fellowship while serving on the mission field.
In the next post, we will share a few more pictures from our trip.
